We've had an incredibly busy summer at Quikkly as the rate of inquiries for our custom scanning SDK has sky-rocketed. We predicted at the start of the year that 2017 was going to be huge for scanning and that was before Apple added support for QR codes into the native camera.

All around the world, app developers are seeing the benefits of scanning as a great user experience. We've some big announcements coming up soon about some of our new customers and we're really excited to share how custom scanning solutions from Quikkly are helping app developers interact with their customers.

From a technical point of view, we've just updated our SDK to work with XCode 9 and can confirm we fully support Android 8.0 (Oreo). We've had tons of requests to support additional frameworks since we talked about React Native support last time and there'll be more news on this soon too, so stay tuned!

In the meantime, we came across this great article discussing how QR codes are finding ever more use in China. These use cases can get you thinking but remember that using QR is a missed opportunity compared to adding a differentiated, branded code to your app using Quikkly's SDK.
