2018 was the best year yet for scanning. More and more of the biggest apps in the world added custom scannable codes. Pinterest have extended Pincodes globally and Snow AR camera used Quikkly to bring Snowcodes to their hundreds of millions of users in Asia. Amazon, Spotify and Snapchat continue to see the benefits of branded scannables to improve user experience and speed up interactions.
And while we’ve loved working with some of the biggest brands in the world to design custom scannable codes, we’re also delighted that 2018 saw so many smaller developers embrace our SDK to add the same technologies as the bigger players straight into their apps. With Quikkly’s SDK, any startup can add scanning and code generation of branded codes in minutes. And we’ve seen applications from Social, Education, Fintech, Photography and even Memorial services use Quikkly to connect with their customers.
2019 will see even wider adoption of custom scannables as it becomes an expected part of user interactions. At Quikkly, we’ll continue to offer bespoke design services and to enhance our mobile SDKs with more features and support for more platforms. We’re particularly excited to unveil our new developer site in the coming weeks to make it even easier to get started.
As the world’s leading provider of custom scanning SDKs, Quikkly expects our user base to grow to beyond 1 billion in 2019 - get in touch to see how we can help you.
